Nokia Lumia 920 hands-on

Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Lumia 920, has got bright eyes - comes with an 8-megapixel PureView camera. Check out my impressions of the phone below:

I go hands-on with Nokia Lumia 920 at Abenson Shangri-la Plaza (Ground Floor).

It's bigger but thinner than its predecessor, the Lumia 900. Its polycarbonate body holds the 1.5 GHz dual-core Krait processor, Adreno 225 GPU, 1GB of RAM and all the brilliant enhancements brought by WP8, making UI navigation smooth and fast. This beauty has topnotch display quality thanks to its 4.5-inch (768 x 1280, 332 ppi) PureMotion HD+ IPS display. Also supports wireless charging. The Lumia 920 is heavier (185g) than the Galaxy Note II (183g), if that’s even a problem at all.

While the 8MP PureView is a downgrade of Nokia 808's camera, it still captures the best photos I've seen from smartphones. Well, what the heck, it's PureView technology we're talking about.

The Lumia 920 will be available in white, black, grey, red and a bold yellow color. The smartphone isn't available until April and no details on local pricing as of yet.

Both take awesome shots, but the Lumia 920's PureView camera undoubtedly does it better. Takes photos much faster than the Lumia 820 and focusing is more accurate.

The Lumia 820 has the same processor, GPU and RAM as the Lumia 920 so UI navigation is as smooth and snappy. It is lighter and a bit thinner than the Lumia 920.
